CORPUS LINGUISTIC

Corpus (the plural is corpora) is a collection of texts, linguistics materials. The main purpose of a corpus is to determine a hypothesis about language. All the A-Z decision of language from the sound (phonetics), the word (morphology), the construction (pragmatics), the structures (syntax), meaning etc. Corpus linguistics deals with the principles and practice of using corpora in language study.

Corpus linguistic is the mean to examine however small to however large the information on areas of English language in such aspects like lexicon or grammar. (Fillmore, Charles J. 1992)
